„… We are very happy to be here again and to present to you again another small aspect of the manifold history of German resistance: This time Libertas Schulze-Boysen and her last letters and poems, which she wrote in prison in Berlin, shortly before she was executed 70 years ago. She had been arrested on September 8 and she was executed two days before Christmas – on December 22, 1942. We have chosen today’s date, which lies in between those two dates, to commemorate the 70th anniversary of her execution.“
